Hi there!
I just wanted to let anyone who has an interest in living in bulgaria that it is fantastic!
my husband and myself moved over from living in france last year and its the best thing we have ever done. we live in a small village near to vratsa and I can honestly say I have never met friendlier people, we have been helped out beyond the call of duty. its peacefull yet lively in town, we realy do have the best of both worlds. and not to mention everything is so cheap.
looking at other discussions on the subject it doesnt seem that anyone is aware of the cheap flights you can get with http://www.wizzair.com luton -sofia .please check them out before parting with your money.
and then come and visit this great country, you wont regret it!
thanks for reading.

Hi onlymee, I know what you mean. Me and my oh got a house in BG last year. It's a 2 bed farm house with half an acre of land near Biala. We love it over there.

Hi Onlyme

Ive got to agree with you. I bought my house in 2005 and love it. Every year we visit at least 5 times and every time wish we hadnt got to return home.
We are looking at moving over late this year or early next year depending on finances.
We are currently renting our property out and everyone who has rented and visited Bulgaria are smitten with it.

hiya
It depends where you are looking to move over to. Im in the Yambol area and i know the school in Yambol is suposed to be excellent and the head mistress speaks english.
As for jobs theres not a lot of opportunities at all unless your going to start buisiness up your self.

Hiya it depends on what you want. If you want to be by the coast its dearer but i found where i purchased it was cheaper and obviously in land it would be rather than the coast.
We bought in the south east which has longer hot summers and is near to Greece and Turkey.
Which sites have you looked at?

Hi onlymee

I can well imagine its peaceful out there compared to here.
My friend Rosen was telling me it was coming up to easter there. I think its really neat how they celebrate easter painting the eggs and that. They seem to celebrate everything there unlike here where the kids havent got a clue.
Apparently on the 24th may theres a celebration also, to do with Kyril and something else. so that will be cool as im over on 23rd.

Hi I am Gerry and I live here in Bulgaria, on the point of celebrations, we have another one this weekend in our town of Dupnitsa (South west about 60km from Sofia) its called "alphabet day". We have so many celebrations that I think from this name the bulgarians are running out of decent names for them.
Anyway its a good excuse for meeting with friends and neighbours and getting the barbecue on, the forecast is good for the weekend and should be about 30 degrees, lovely.

Hi, your area does look to be quite good next week, see here http://www.wunderground.com/global/stations/15530.html
However its a bit up and down and not at all stable, yesterday shorts and T shirt, today rain, but still 24 ??
I live with my wife in a small village called Mlamolovo in the Soth West of the country close to the major town of Dupnitsa, car capital of Bulgaria. I run an estate agency and building company.

Hi, just thought, I should have introduced myself properly as I forgot to above.
My name is Gerry and have lived and worked here for 3 years now. If anyone would like any advice on areas, customs, laws etc. etc. I would be happy to try and help out.
