few problems with my 1.2 selecta

hi can anyone help me my fiat punto that iv only owned a few weeks has two problems firstly it keeps stop starting especially when low on petrol. secondly my husband only filled the washer tank up last week but nothing coming out when i try and clean the windows i think it may have a leak? would this cost a lot to repair?
