The time you came Well it is totaly different here now, There is meloneras, and Playa Mogan all new and built up now, And puerto Rico as well, But as you know places get tired and worn out after 20 years Puerto rico and Playa del ingles are about to be renovated and updated, In about 2 to 3 years, they will be like new again. Prices well things are changing rapidly with the recession. You can get a one bed apartment in Puerto Rico from 75.000 euros right now. It depends if you want to retire to a place and live in it yourself. Or you will be looking to rent it out. Wether then you need to buy in a residential or tourist situation. I bought an old wreck FINCA.to renovate about 7 years ago. we are constructors here. building new apartments and renovating old apartments all the time. Will you be wanting to work etc? or just retire. I chose the countryside to live in so i could grow my own veg etc all year round. We decided against Mainland spain because of the weather, crime there etc. We have a lovely life here and feel so safe, The weather is more or less the same all year round, we have two brand new state of the art hospitals here, And the local doctors is 24/7 staffed with doctor and nurse all the time.
