i find that if i have a car with problems ,,, i tend to go to scrapyard and strip the same there first before working on my own ,,.... just to see how everything fits ............,,,,,,,

think i only experienced that once up here ,,, but am sure guy was dodgy anyway ,,,,,,,,, ,, u just tell em what u r looking for an they tell u to go for it ,,,,,, think id hate not being able to go in ,,,, most the fun is stripping cars down and seeing their faults and how it goes together... got to admit i can somtimes spend 4 hours in these places and only my hungry stomache tells me to go home lol......

i visit 3-4 regulary... think that if anyone injures themself in scrappys ,, then that there fault... gotta think if you do a dangerous sport.. go hill walking in winter,,, run into a burning house to save somthing or somone ,,, then its different than being a fireman,,, coalminer,, policeman,,,, or tripping on the pavement .... cause of the u.s.a mentality of sueing somone that looks at u wrong or has a different opinion....basicly anything that they can ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,is ruining common sense and freedom........

Health and safety I think now specify the insurance specially for the public,but because of expense the yards wont pay it and dont allow G/public past shopfront,it also prevents the nicking of bits and peices so in some respects the public have done it for themselves because so much got nicked.
I am in no way saying you are one of those that does nick, but there are those that do and have spoilt it for the honest dismantlers amongst us

i see the scrappers of providing a great service and dont mind paying ,,expes as i get to gain experience dismantling(since i been 5 my dad and bruvs who where mechanics took me .. now 37)...i have heard of peeps nicking (of course),, but would never condone it ,,,......am in scotland maybey rules diff up here,,,.. i swear i prob wouldnt use a scrappy if i couldnt see what car thing came off ,,, id goto a motor factors for fraction of price of garage or dealer...
