another question coz im a nag lol
i have known people who let their chi pup sleep in a puppy pen or travel cot because theyre so small i thought it might be dangerous for her to roam the room whilst i sleep. do you think i should let her sleep in a puppy pen/travel cot???
when she is older she will have access to my bed but with her being so small it scares me.
putting her in a puppy pen with toys blankets water and my cavalier angel for a while seems like a good idea for night time
what do u all think??

Puppy pen great idea not with other dog though she could be squashed inthe night or worse don't leave them alone together until she is a bit bigger

my cavalier is really tiny for her breed. she is only 15months and is really small. i thought that angel could act as a mum substitute to the pup. i thought that she would keep her warm.
do you think it would be better if i kept them seperated and do what i done with my other 2 dogs. put a hot water bottle that kept in a furry case and a clock that ticks in with the pup. i done that with my girls coz i was told that it would stopthem missing their mum. i always felt guilty and let them sleep on the bed though. i know i cant do this with the chi coz its so small

hi kitty , have you looked in your local pet shop ? you should be able to find " comfort pals " they r bril , they little cuddly toys that have a heartbeat that your dog can hear , they meant to be real good for comforting n calming new puppies x

Hey Kitty!
Rocco Was Tiny When I Got Him But I Just Let Him Sleep By My Bed In His Bed, Hes Got A Soft Dog Bed That Is Fur Inside And He Has A Cuddly Toy Chi OF Mine That He Sleeps With! Haha...But He Does Now Always Wake About 7 And Cry So I Pick Him Up And He Sleeps In My Bed! Not On It, In It! Lol, He Sleeps Either Next To Me Or Inbetween My Legs 4 Tha Warmth LOL.
Thought Of Any Names 4 Ur Baby Chi Yet!?
Iv Got The Camera Lead Now So Il UpLoad Pics Of Rocco Later When Iv Finished Work =D

I like Peanut. The hot water bottle in a blanket in the pen sounds best l knew someone who trod on their chi and crushed it's skull because they let it sleep unprotected and woke up dozy and forgot the pup. Even cats can be a problem sometimes.All mine survived even my rescue one.

thanks wendy yes i can be a little dozy when i wake up too thats why i would prefer for her to be in a pen. awwwww poor little pup. yes they very fragile arnt they. i heard they have a soft spot just like a baby and sometimes that doesnt heal right up
