Hiya
My experience to remove woodchipis lots of patience, hot soapy water score the top layer to allow the water to soak thru more. If you can hire a wallpaper stripper makes the job much easier

We just had this problem and to top it off it had yrs of paint over it too. We got a wallpaper scorer tool from B&Q and scored the walls 1st then when the steamer went on it it came off like a dream. The scorer cost about 9.99 but is well worth it as it also makes light work of the thicker padded wallpaper on other walls too.
Oh and whoever had this house before us didnt grasp the concept of WALLpaper so we have woodchip wallpaper to remove from the roof too when we get round to it! I hate paper!

Scrape surface with ide filler knife to remove any latex paint and bare the wood chips, this will allow a steamer to do its job as the paint would not allow the steam to penitrate the walls. I will never use any type of wallpaper again after my fiasco regard, ronnie 14848

Hi you could first scratch the wood chip with a wire brush the idea is to make very light scares in the top surface it may have had a lot of paint on it and you need to be ale to let warm water get behing the surface brush warm water on about three coats then use a scraper and you should be able to lift the wood chip ,I have used this method and it worked for me .
Hope this helps
