I'm not sure what you mean by 'red' adverts? Perhaps you could clarify? We do have a mixture of Google adverts in our listings, and also some selected ads from our classifieds section. However, there have been no changes to this for over a year now...? Thanks Ian

PREMIUM CHARGES ============== It was not until I had read the terms and conditions that I spotted that you had to subscribe to a service. Which was about £1.50 a time, and that to stop it would cost approx £3.00. Be careful if you think you may have won something large which turns out to be next to nothing, and you end up paying a subscription fee. Tony

These definitely shouldn't be appearing on Preloved. I would advise against responding to these in any way. For those that are seeing them, are these 'pop up' adverts or are they appearing somewhere on our pages. If on our pages, where abouts - are they at the top or bottom of the pages, or are they mingled in with the messages on the forums? If they are pop ups, are you also seeing them on other sites? Do you have a virus check installed and up to date? I'm keen to look in to this further. If any of you see these ads again, it would help us greatly if you could copy the http:// address and send it to us at http://www.preloved.co.uk/contact/ Even better, if any of you are able to get a screen shot and send it to me that would help even more :) Many thanks Ian

I saw a screen shot of the ad on another site and I have to say it is incredibly misleading. I'd just like to stress that this competition has nothing to do with Preloved. We don't generally have control of campaigns that are run on the site but we are able to exclude adverts from particular domains. I have done so with this campaign. Many thanks for bringing it to our attention. Ian

Just returned to this thread to check my message, and there was one of these ads on the page! It may take an hour or so for the exclusion to take effect, but you should stop seeing them shortly. Ian

Glad you spotted them too Ian. They seemed to be in a bright red text in between replys to various posts on the forums. I totally ignored them as regards clicking on them but was just curious. To be honest what brought my attention to them was that this forum has been blissfully devoid of these stupid adverts and kind of wondered if you guys had allowed this on or not. At the bottom in tiny words it had "Cyprusinformer.com" without the quotes. It also had "Ads by Google" just to the right of the above. Hmmm... kind of wondering if some of this c**p is automated. ___________________ THERE'S NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT !
