re your oil leak if you read the whole of this forum you will see it comes up many times , omegas as far as i know have plastic rocker covers and if you have a v6 you have two of them what happens over a period of time with the heat of the engine they warp and start to leak you need to get new rocker covers and gaskets fitted if you leave it for a long time the oil runs into the spark plug holes and eventually may get beyond spark plugs and could cause a misfire, I had both mine done recently at a cost of approx £200 but this was not at a main dealer, you could do them yourself it is not that difficult but be careful when you take off the cover on the petrol ignition hope this helps fm

Re: TD not starting when cold. It's more likely to be the lift pump in the tank (circa £110) causing the problem Suggest you subscribe to Omega Owners Forum http://www.omegaowners.com It costs nothing & ALL of the answers to EVERY possible problem can be found there

Hi,I wouldn't worry too much about the coolant indicator, the sensors are known for being faulty, mine is showing and has been for over 12 months, no worries.

i have a 1998 2.5 v6 omega, its in excellent condition and runs very well, but over the last month ive notice that it seems to be running on kangaroo juice and sometimes ticks over about 1300rpm, i have to blip the throttle to make it return to around 600 rpm, its one of these intermitant thoughts which is annouying, sometimes when you floor it the engine is very responsive and smooth, other times it seems to be a bit lumpy, then sometimes when driving at 30mph it seems very lumpy but doesnt seem to miss fire, just fills like ur blipping the throttle on and off quickly, any ideas will be most welcome....

I have a 1995 Diesel Omega Estate, which has developed a central locking problem, the interior locks are showing half way open/closed and the drivers door can't be opened using the key, but you can open the passenger side with the key and the drivers door can be unlocked from the inside, the immoboliser can be un-set using the the key fob - any ideas what could be causing the problem??
