1. I believe once the airbag light comes on it needs to be reset with a "diagnosyic computer". Had this problem once after car had been in a dealer and they had temporarily disconnected a wire for access. 2. Had this problem. Fixed by removing door panel and cleaning up the channed where the buttom slides. Some silicon spray can help but will probably cause a build up of more dirt in the long run. 3. Coolant sensor is in the bottom of the expansion tank. Had this problem on another vauxhall due to contact corroded to nothing. 4. Halfords do a range of diagnostic "computers" with adapters for different cars and lists of fault codes. 5. Haynes manual for Omega is less useful than ones I've had for previous cars but is ok for straightforward service tasks. Electrical diagrams are not well keyed and once you decide on a suspect relay for instance, it won't help you locate it. There's abloke on e-bay who sell vauxhall manauls on CD but I think you need a userid to access the useful stuff so not found it worth anything to me. Cheers Aidan
You might want to check for a loose wire under the front seats. I've yet to get mine sorted, so can't say what was done to fix it. Cheers
OK got the first problem with my new car after using it for a couple of weeks..... It started off when the wife used it and when locking the car using the remote key fob, the drivers side would not lock, all the other 3 doors locked ok, but she had to keep unlocking and locking and eventually the drivers door locked OK, each time she locked/unlock the knob on the inside of the door moved a little further in to the locking position. She never said nothing about this to me at the time... So later I was doing a few bits to the car and when I finished I locked it up, but noticed that the passenger window was open, so I unlocked using the key fob, but the drivers door did not unlock :( I then locked and unlocked again and the drivers door still stayed locked. I tried to use the key in the lock but that still would not open the door either. I then climbed in the passenger side and lent over to open from the inside, but the knob you pull up to open the door would not move from the locked position. I decided to take it to the local vauxhall dealer and it was bit embarrising turning up and having to then climb out the passenger side, espcially when you are not the most agile person in the world. I then locked the car using the remote fob and tried to unlock it again, and sods law the drivers side unlocked !!!! I noticed that the alarm warning button on the center console was now flashing. The current position is that I can now lock and unlock the car USING THE KEY IN THE LOCK, all 4 door will lock and unlock OK. However, if I use the remote key fob the passenger door will not lock, but the other 3 doors do. I am planning to have it booked in at the local vauxhall dealer soon, but thought I would put a post here, to see if anyone can advise the most likely cause. Many Thanks
Most likely cause is simply the button sticking in the channel. It's easy to fix by removing the button and cleaning the channel it runs in. To remove the button have it in the unlocked up position. Then with a small bladed screwdriver (e.g. the small electrical or opticion's type) prise out the red plastic object in the button. This actually locks the button on the lock spindle. Once this is out you can slide the buttom up and out. Then just clean the button and the channel and put it all back together. Aidan
Thanks for your reply, I took the door panel off today and checked everything best I could, including the channel at the top of the lock. All seemed as it should be. After putting back together it actually worked once and then went back to not closing. Also I have noticed that since this fault started the Alarm light on the centre console now comes on when I lock the car using the key in the lock. To open the car I have to first unlock it using the key in the lock and then click the open button on the remote key fob for the alarm light to go off, if i dont open using the key fob the alarm will go off when i open the door. The fact the alarm light now comes on as soon as I lock the door using the key indicates there is a fault somewhere according to the manual. All I can think it is, is the motorising locking unit (at the bottom of the door ??) Thanks
Probably not the very latest version of this set (within 5 years I would guess) but I doubt this will matter much, so long as your model is listed it's worth the investment as they include full schematics and troubleshooting information as used by the Vauxhall garages (The garage would probably be using one of these sets as a reference for this problem anyway). Hi, I don't know if the following will solve your problem, an old plumbing trick is to back fill to get rid of air . ie fill from the lowest point the drain cock Good luck

Front suspension clonks over bumps especially when braking. Anti roll bar drop links have been replaced. Bottom wishbone ball joint and wishbone pivot bushes seem sound. Any history on similar bumps/clonks from front suspension. Could it be worn struts or should I re-investigate wishbone bushes etc thanks crispy
all most certain to be the front lower wishbone bush (horizontal one), will be soft/torn, recomend if you replace bush use genuine if you want it to last longer than 12 to 18 months, or if you are to replace lower wishbone (inc's new ball joint) same again, I ended up having to replace a ball joint after only 9 month on one and the front bushes lasted about 15 month on both sides (but the aftermarket wishbones were cheap when I bought them). regards Les
Check the rear subframe rubber mountings!! Particuarly the ones to the body (under the back doors / wheel arches) They tend to deteriate with age allowing the subframe to move about..this in turn throws out the rear wheel tracking, which can also wear out the inner edges of the rear tyres very quickly!! I have a 'W' reg, 5 speed manual gearbox. Does anyone know if I am able to fit a cruise control to this car please? John
Have bought new wishbone assys for both sides from http://www.megavaux.co.uk/ £73 all in with p&p for the two LH and RH. I'll let you know quality of parts and give feedback once the job is done. I'll go by the Haynes manual but have you any tips for fitting. Thanks crispy
an easy job if you have a pit/ramp, a bit more difficult if you are going to do it on the deck, as for tips, not really apart from a good heavy hammer to crack the hub on the taper to seperate the ball joint and for the rear bush a goog pair of vice grips to hold the head of the bolt whilst you pull it to make it vertical when you are trying to re-inset it back through the anchor points (keep the hammer handy to help "tap" it back) and a must is to get the tracking checked as soon as possible after, if its just a little bit out it will eat your front tyres regards Les
