Just bought a 1995 cdx tdi Omega. Couple of problems. Engine had thrown a con rod and destroyed the crankcase, I am waiting for a complete engine to be delivered. Will the fuel pump on the replacement engine be compatible with the control unit/imobilser for the original engine, I have no key fob for the alarm system either. Also the radio and multi changer have been removed, does anyone know what the original spec radio and changer were???? Sorry to go on so much...

Spencer, HELP! I recently test drove a Y reg 2.5V6 Dual Fuel Elite Estate with 34k on clock. Very nice car and cheap way of owning a performance estate. Before I buy have you any advice, feedback or problems associated with Omega Dual Fuel. Any info would be grately appreciated.
Cheers

not heard any problems at all. And V6 are mechanically bombproof. Y reg should be a 2.6 V6 though. Better motor with better engine management, superceded 2.5 in March 2001.

Sorry mate, not been on for a while. This one has me foxed too.Airbag light often means that there is a break in the circuit, this may affect the central locking which is activated to open in the event of airbag going off. Is ithe keyfob opening the car and just not switching off alarm? If I dont know answer to your problem may be able to find out....

Its an insert type. looking under engine bay from front of car. Back right beneath inlet manifold with a black box bolted above it (alarm components) you will see a canister with a nut on top. Undo this and withdraw long rod and remove top, filter is inside.

M reg 220K 2L CLS estate.I also have a prob with this airbag light on all the time, I didn't know I had it until I changed some bulbs in the dash, this being one that had blown. I've tracked down the wiring but am still at a loss to corrrect this fault. An auto lec'y mate had a quick 2 hour look at it and just shook his head. Perhaps this is one for the main dealer as I don't know where else to turn, I surpose they will want to change the airbag units though, as I was told they only have a 10 year life.....But perhaps I'll just take the bulb out again.

not that big as I remember. Look under bonnet, follow inlet manifold along (just right of centre) as you reach th bulkhead look down. May be easier to view from passenger side.

I have just brought 2.2CD Estate (automatci) I have noticed the same effect. If that MOT of Mark's hasn't come up with anything, then perhaps it's to do with the camber of the road surface we are driving on?

Hi all. Just bought a '97 2.5 v6 estate. The model is Tourer. Fantastic car with only 75,000 miles. But I need to change a couple of dashboard bulbs. Any ideas? Do I have to drop the dash, or can i do it in situ. Any help greatly appreciated.. :)

The dash does have to come out. Follow instruction in the the Haynes manual although you can get away without removing the steering wheel (you just need to bend the trim that covers a screw that sits on top of the steering column at the base of the dash).

Make sure you change all the bulbs as you won't want to do it again in a hurry.

Mark.
