My dell 944 all in one printer (DOB sep 2006) was working ok till last week. It started causing problem, I mean the paper gets skewed/crooked on print order. Any suggestions please!

hi there
i do not know about the printer you have but i had the same problem with my canon.after taking the time to closely inspect it i found that my parrot had dropped a small piece if shell inside where the paper loads(lol) causing the rollers not to roll evenly.after removing the piece the printer worked perfect.just thought i would mention it would be worth taking a look in case something has fallen in.otherwise not sure what it might be.ps i has to tip the printer up carefully to get it out.hope it is something similar for you cos its not a lot of work or cost!!

Thanks a lot for your advice. Actually my printer was up and running after I tilted it upside down and shook gently(though I didnot see anything falling out) and this idea was from one of the web site forums " http://www.fixyourownprinter.com" Sorry I should have deleted my message.

For what it is worth, regarding paper screwing up dogs and cat hair and young children are nine times out of ten is the problem. A monthly clean will save you a lot of aggro.
