Strange tyre wear Freelander

Depending on age theres a few reasons , if the vehicle is Pre 2000 model year then there is very little you can do about this , in the early days this was a big problem and caused by the ird unit ( the 4 wheel drive system ) post 2000 they changed the ratio of the ird unit and it all but cured this problem . On later vehicles it can be caused by the rear transverse suspension link inner bushes wearing which alters the rear geometry . My advice is to get the rear suspension checked out , replace any suspension arms ( it is easier to change the whole arms ) that are worn , and have the rear alignment adjusted . If no fault can be found and the alignment is ok then im sorry to say its probably the ird unit im affraid . ___________________ http://landroveradvice.myfastforum.org The only believers are brainwashed !!
