powermax 185 pressure prob

About two months ago i removed a radiator from my system, a few days later it leaked extensively. I stopped the leak and everything was going well, last week a problem occured when the hot water tap was turned to full power there is a loud banging noise from the boiler and the the pressure drops. It appears to be a pressurised system and may need topping up due to the leak, same with the showers work with full power on cold but when you turn up the heat same fault. Anybody a clue? and if it is as i think how do you top up the system? and is it something i could do or is it plumber job only?
