startup problem

When booting up,it starts the POST 'power on self test' to chech that everything is ok,and pluged in switched on etc. in the computer It gets as far as notifying drive info,when it stops with error message,press F1 to continue doing that,it boots up ok. I have done every check I can think of,to no avail,drives are recogised,dvd writer,graphiscs card,sound card all ok.
