Ok i have seriously had it with my saxo.I am so ready for smashing it up :)

Anyway after 24 hours it will not start, but will do after a jump start & is ok for rest of day. There are no warning lights & everything else seems ok.It has a brand new battery.Someone said it may be alternator aint charging ?
If i continue to jump start it,i am going to cause more damage right ?
Any ideas anyone.
Cheers

well your likely to damage yourselve before the car however are you saying that the battery goes flat overnight? if so then there is something taking power when everything is turned off someone with a clip on ammeter could tell you straight away if thats the case or the new battery may have failed, it is also an easy job to see if altenator is charging could be done with an mutimeter across the battery if its charging then it should read around 13 - 14 volts with the engine running testing all of these would only take a few mins a decent car accessory place would be able to tell you usually at no cost, in fact a lot of smal garages would not charge for the test to be done.

It goes flat every 12 hours or so.
Like yesterday i drove to Perth & back, all ok,got back at around 6pm.
Left car sitting for a while,it started at 9pm.This morning i went out at 9.30am & it started ok.Seems i gota either dive or start it within 12 hours or no good.
Anyway i will go to garage & get them to check it with multimetre as you say.
Aint keen tho cause i am sure they will say its something major when it aint just cos i female..
Cheers fasty

do you not have a friend with a multimeter ? you do need help why not go to a couple of decent shops and ask them to test the battery and altenator they should not charge you for doing, this ask first, then see what they both say how old is the battery is it still under warrenty if so take it back to them and ask them to test it
