Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone fancies a chat? My husband just watches the football and I'm starting to get a tad bored. I spend most of my time online creating websites etc...

Hi,
It's lovely to hear from you! I have just started to create websites and launched a site for Northern Ireland Mums. I am not sure if I am allowed to post a link to it here but its url is: http://www.nirelandmumsonline.co.uk I am a mum to a 7 mth old boy (well, 8 months old tomorrow :-D) and decided to get into website design in the hope that I wont have to find an outside job as I dont want to leave Ethan with a stranger. I am a legal secretary by trade though.
Is that the footie over with now Spain won last night?? I find it soooo boring!!! What do you do? Where do you live? This is a great site to be on :-)
Looking forward to talking to you...

my favourite hobby is ringing my father when the footy is on! He gets really stressed! Whats the point, rugby players have better looking legs anyway! Neither my son or my hubby watch the footy, but they do the rugby and my husband watches cricket, just can't get my head around the rules for that one!

lol - my hubby doesnt do any sport either, just watches it like your's lol. I'm a legal secretary (litigation mostly) by trade but I dont want to work for solicitors anymore so I'm hoping that the site will take off so I wont have to go back to it. My little lamb chop is 8 mths old now and is brilliant. I have finally taken to this parenting lark like a proverbial duck to water and my pnd I feel (I pray, I hope) is finally beginning to leave me - yay!!! (it was only a mild form of it but still...it's a rotten thing to go through).
So, whatcha up to today then? Here's my msn addy if you fancy chatting on there sometime: [Log in to view email]

Hiya, 8 months is a wonderful age - i love babies, just hate being pregnant! lol Loved my Nanny jobs really, one of them was looking after an 8month old and she was lovely, only problem is that you form such a bond with the kids and when you have to leave its very hard! I dont use MSN much, but i have added your addy to my email list. When i email you i will say its Nobby, so you know who i am! lol

How are you doing this morning? I have sent you an email and have added you to my friends list on msn. Sorry I didnt reply to your email sooner. I had a busy night with Ethan, I have just managed to get him to have a nap, I should be doing it too but once I'm up, I'm up lol...
You're right, this age is great, I didnt mind being pregnant though I have to admit but I was glad when it was over and done with :-D
Hope to talk to you soon,
Gilly

Hey, I was a nanny too, twin girls, small holding, bullocks, cats, turkeys - ruddy things kept hanging themselves, chickens, rabbits, one goose that I named Gordon who was a ring leader, never went into the pot as he was a family pet, probably would have been as tough as old boots anyway! oh, and dogs! We lived miles from any form of civilization and the parents worked away Monday to Friday. Loved it, really hard to leave though, don't think I would do it again.
Sorry to hear to had a bad night Gilly, teething? I always found it difficult to nap during the day when the kids were small, put a dvd - nearly typed video, my kids would be so embarrassed! on and just do nothing.
Hated being pregant and really hated people fussing and telling me to take it easy, took my old GSD on a monster hike when I was 7 months gone with my son, over the cliffs of Dover, it was brilliant, everyone gave me a hard time when I got back! ....we did live in Kent, thought I would mention that in case anyone thought I was a complete nut and travelled from the other side of the world!

Oh you are such a rebel! I would have loved to have people fussing over me - as it was i just got reminded by my dad how his first wife and then my mother had "just got on with it" usually as he was handing me a really heavy shopping bag to carry or something... Coz i was young i was a bit of a rebel too, obviously had to go to college during the day, but by night i used to ride pillion on my boyfriends (now hubby's!) motor bike. I was 8months pregnant and barely fitted on! lol I also broke into my mothers house coz it was a really hot day and i needed a drink and they were out. So i climbed through a first floor window - got told off for that one too! Again, my bump hardly fitted through. Also went sledging over a really bumpy field when i was 3months pregnant. I hadnt told anyone then and i was in denial. I was much more sensible the second time round, of course - did everything properly although i've always walked miles with the dogs, usually alone. And for all those who sed we wouldnt make it, i have been with my husband for almost 17 yrs now, since i was 15! :-P

teething is a bit of a nightmare at the mo, I feel really sorry for Ethan. I have managed to get him to nap now so this is "my time" as I have the housework and stuff done. I find it hard to kip when he is asleep so I just keep going til bedtime and hope that I get a couple of hours before kickoff lol. I love it though :-D I didnt do anything so cool as what you and Nobby did when you were pregnant. We travelled back from Belgium (we lived there for 8 yrs) when I was 7 months pregnant with all our belongings in the back of the car (a polo). My hubby kept me busy though as I had to do the translating from Dutch to Engish. I am honestly settling back into the way of life here in N. Ireland.
Have a great day & hope to hear from you soon :-D

Nobby, the only ones that fussed where the 'farm workers' on the farm in which we lived! Had better deliveries than most though, I think its because I stayed reasonable active, did you find the same? Got a great mental picture of heavily pregant woman trying to get through the window! Me too, much more grown up second time around, even stopped driving.......I did get stuck behind the wheel and had to be levied out! sort of made the decision for me LOL!
Gilly, sod the housework, Ethan will not be teething for very long and the house will always want tidying. You need to do some resting, get a book, film etc., and just sit down with a cup of tea/glass of wine, depending on the time of day, for goodness sake don't start on the wine before 7pm!
As for BB, can't think of anything worse, sorry. If I wanted to watch a bunch of idiots living in their own filth, slatting each other......I would go upstairs of any evening and just sit outside my kids rooms LOL!

I have thought that about the previous BB's but I got hooked into this after the task in the first week (sham wedding). Yes, you can see virtually the same stuff at home.
What are you all doing today?

Ethan and I didnt do much today. We went to my parents house, went into the local town and then played in the garden, it was great though playing all the time. He is starting to stir now - another sleepless night I think - oh well!! I dont care...
Talk to you in the morning...
