Thank you for your reply I will check the multiplug and see if that seems to be the problem (I hope so!)Any ideas where I can pick up a Mutliplug from? Mark.S

The local Peugeot dealer would be the first step but maybe it would cost a lot. See if you can find one in a breakers yard.

Hey Hodgy,I'm going to have a look at the plug under the driver's seat, do you know if it's an easy job to replace it? P.s Any idea on a price for this plug from a breaker's, I should not think it would be to expensive.. Mark.S

Hi there , yes its a quite easy job , probobley better if you removed the seat, its only 4 bolts.
i would think the price from a breakers would be a couple of £s, all you need to get it out at the breakers is a pair of side cutters, chop the wires both sides of the plug,leaving some wire to play with.Good luck Alan

Did you find that you could open the the doors but the hatch wouldn't open, i thing my cars called herbie as it defo has mind of it's own. I bought my car at the beg of feb, I haven't had any major probs but I need to get in to the hatchback boot it only started last week any advice would be appreciated I have given it a dose of WD40 but that hasn't released it!!!!!!!!! Heeeellllp

NO IDEA y it happens but if u read firsty few pages on her n look 4 post by solora idid her advice and mi locks work perfectly now

k on one of the first few pages theres a post by solora she explains wat she did to stop the lock unlock thing i did that and now my locks work perfectly she explains about it being 1 of few things that could b makin this happen and that by putting a connection between 2 wires that are located if u pull up back seat behind driver and put hand just up the hole u see/feel the unit which she explains to bypass hope this was more helpfull if not u can email me on [Log in to view email] i can also give u the two wire numbers that i connected if that would help but my wires and numbers were differant to soloras and go through step by step if that would help to,, i take it that it locks n unlocks or u need to get in car to lock all doors ? plz be aware if u need to manuel lock ur car i couldnt lock my boot for some reason ...

I found that my boot locks and unlocks itself as it pleases my dad think it a dodgy solenoid as it worked ok for a week then locked again then unlocked once and since then I haven' t been unable to open the boot so now if i want to put something in the boot I pull down the back seat and throw it in as i have given up trying to ge the damn thing open.

Hi i have just brought a 1997 306, the central locking works fine but it came with no batteries in the key, i replaced the batteries does anyone know how to tune it to the car. thanks

1. The doors must not be locked.
2. Use the key without the remote control and turn it in the ignition to position 2 "A" for accessories.
3. Bring the remote control key to within 10 cm (4 ins) of the receiver (near the interior rear-view mirror).
4. Press button 1 or 2 within 10 seconds of turning the key in the ignition.
5. If you have two remote control keys: Press button 1 or 2 on the second remote control key within the next 10 seconds.
6. Turn off the ignition.

Log into GOOGLE Put in "Re program 306 ignition key" it will give you all that you need

hi the central locking on the tailgate on my 306 estate doesnt work ive resorted to locking the car manually from the in side because the lock is seized so i cant use the key
please help

i have an N reg peugeot 306, i have recently brought it. I want to be able to lock the car when pushing the button on the key. I have had two new batteries put in the key but car still doesnt lock.
At the moment to lock my car i have to lock every individual door.
I need to no how to reset the central locking.
Could anyone help please.

Hi, I have a 1999 V-Reg Peugeot 306 Meridian with the central locking problem. Lock the doors with the key or fob and they immediately unlock. I have looked for the central locking unit as per posts by Solara and others and it’s not behind the drivers side rear seat, in fact I looked all over the boot and back seats and can’t find anything and I don’t have a sun roof. I thought I would remove the fuse; however I have 32 fuses not the 30 it describes in the handbook (and they are laid out differently) so I can’t try that method unless I remove each 20A fuse in turn (assuming it’s still a 20A fuse). So if anyone out there knows where either the central locking unit is on a 306 Meridian or which fuse I need to remove please let me know, thanks.

Your remote recieve is located under a small panel just to the rear of the courtesy light in the roof.
