1. The doors must not be locked.
2. Use the key without the remote control and turn it in the ignition to position 2 "A" for accessories.
3. Bring the remote control key to within 10 cm (4 ins) of the receiver (near the interior rear-view mirror).
4. Press button 1 or 2 within 10 seconds of turning the key in the ignition.
5. If you have two remote control keys: Press button 1 or 2 on the second remote control key within the next 10 seconds.
6. Turn off the ignition.

Hi, I have a 1999 V-Reg Peugeot 306 Meridian with the central locking problem. Lock the doors with the key or fob and they immediately unlock. I have looked for the central locking unit as per posts by Solara and others and it’s not behind the drivers side rear seat, in fact I looked all over the boot and back seats and can’t find anything and I don’t have a sun roof. I thought I would remove the fuse; however I have 32 fuses not the 30 it describes in the handbook (and they are laid out differently) so I can’t try that method unless I remove each 20A fuse in turn (assuming it’s still a 20A fuse). So if anyone out there knows where either the central locking unit is on a 306 Meridian or which fuse I need to remove please let me know, thanks.

Your remote recieve is located under a small panel just to the rear of the courtesy light in the roof.

Hi could someone tell me how to bypass the immobiliser? I have quite obviously got all the symptoms of a dodgy loom- (even the chuffing return is missing off the driver's door, plus flappy door seal, plus my old gal is over 15 years old).

I fully intend to pull the central door-lock fuse as I have to lock all doors manualy at the moment anyway- the central unlocks everthing from the passenger side but does the whole pop-up thing for locking.

My problem is a bit more sinister- the deadlock is engaging immobilising the whole car and now I can't start it at all- been locking and unlocking- pressing alarm buttons and whipping neg leads off for hours- but no Joy! Can someone purlease help me get my damn Pug started (she is out on the town by herself tonight!) and tell me how to lose this "feature"?

hi the problem is the wiring running from the o/s door loom thru to the dash if you open the door you will see a rubber cover from the o/s/front door inside the cover there is up to 17 wires depending on what model you have some of these wires will be broken leaving an open circuit and that is why all the buttons are popping up when you lock the doors manually peugeot do repair kit for this but being french all the wires in the repair loom is black so you have to solder 1 wire at a time regards rgd

So by having the door loom repaired/replaced my Pug will jump back to life?
I read back this entire thread and spent the day taking seats out and disconnecting batteries etc etc etc. still wouldn't start or disconnect the immobiliser- that thing starred in the terminator films, I'm sure of it......

So It's a tow to the garage and a new door loom for me.
