Hi all, A bit of advice please.
I own a P reg 820 si with manual G/box and for a while now have been experiencing judder from time to time when moving away from standing or low speed in 1st & 2nd gears. I can control this by adjusting revs accordingly. The clutch does not slip and the car drives fine through other speed ranges.
The car has done 114k and as far as I know still has the original clutch assembly fitted. As I use the car for towing I am considering replacing the clutch assembly but am unsure wether or not I can do the replacement in situ or not.
I have the Haynes manual but this as far as I can see only discusses clutch replacement with the Engine & Transmission removed from the car.
I would be very grateful for any advice on this and of course any Tips or expected problems.
.
Many thanks

There's no need to touch the engine the gearbox will come out no problem without having to lift out both as one assembly.
It will most likely be the diaphram part of the clutch at fault but anything less than a full clutch kit is false economy in this case.
Not too bad a job on todays standards really.
