freelander td4 missing running on two cylinders
Messages 1 to 5 of 5.
i have a 2002 td4 freelander .in fact i have two. my van has deceide to start running on just cylinders 1 and 3 , i say this as when i removed the injector power plugs whilst running there was little if any difference. i have changed number 2 and 4 injectors froma set that i ahd on a spare engine and it hasent made any difference. there are no fault lights on the dashboard , starting from cold is very difficult / once warmed up its easier but obviously mega lack of power any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in antisipation ricky mitchell
If the injector stays open when you remove it and the spray blasts in it can put a hole in the piston so be real careful with this one. Bear in mind these common rail pressures are about 20 odd thousand psi so be careful even when slackening the pipes as the pressure's are around 4 to 5 times higher than a traditional diesel. ___________________ THERE'S NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT !
