can anyone help me. i have a honda x8r-s and want to get it derestricted. i had to get the rev limiter out of the cdi and now i have to fix the variator and exhaust. would anyone be able to help me on how to do this. i bought a manual from x8rtuning website over a week ago and still hasnt came so am gettin pretty annoyd. aparantly the exhaust is pretty simple and there is a washer to be taken out or something along those lines. i dont know much about peds yet this is my first one. any help would be great! cheers

ok if u take the cover off the left hand side of ur engine u will c two pulleys with a belt between them. the front one is the one u are interested in. if u look at it, it shound be a plate, then belt then variator like this.... >-< with the belt in the middle.if u jam the plate so it doesnt move then undo the bolt it shud come off, there should be a washer behind it. just talke it out and put it back together.

the exhaust is hard unless u know someone who has a welder. there is a pipe comein out of u exhaust goin to no were, just cut it off and weld over the hole. or if u can get somethin with enough pressure u could just squese the botom of the pipe to close it off. but realisticly u should just get a cheap used sports exhaust off ebay, that would sot a out.

if you do this u will also want to get a bigge main jet for your cab.
