My Boxer Bitch is 5 Weeks pregnant with her first litter!

Mia does sound like she is having the best food :) I bet her tummy is being squished by the puppies as she is so near to her due date. It is very exciting, and a privilege to be there when they are born. Such an amazing thing to see. I bet Mia is a natural too.
I am lucky tho, that one of the puppies is going to a friend of a friend, who only lives around the corner, so, I will get to see him grow up :) Most of the new mums and dads have promised to keep sending me pics of them and to keep in touch with us, which is fantastic. I will have a lovely photo album of Roxy's beautiful babies to treasure. Are you keeping one of Mias' ?
Plus any excuse to keep them for another couple of weeks is great with me lol. It is hard work, but it is so rewarding. I slept on the sofa for the first 2 weeks to make sure mummy didn't sit on one in the night. Now I am going to bed, but I get up in the night to do a night feed of solids for them all. We do have a good routine going :) And be amazed at how much newspaper you will go through!! They were virtually paper trained at a little over 2 weeks old, just the odd accident on their bedding now :)
yes her tummy does appear to be full of squirming puppies :0) My poor girl all I think about he how uncomfortable I was at the end of my two pregnancies... Poor Mia! I started taking her temperature on day 57 she is still at around 37.5 so no drop as yet.... I am sure i will panic when the happens.... got butterflies just typing about it LOL. I would like to get another boxer, we lost our male boxer Jake in February this year (we had to have him put to sleep :0( ) popped a pic of him on bless him Although I am not sure whether keeping one of Mias pups or buying another puppy after Mia has recovered from having and feeding her pups would be best.... I am sure that when she has had them I will fall in love with them and want to keep them all !!!!! I have read that keeping the pups until they are 8 weeks old gives them better manners later in life. which is what I plan to do, althouh the vetinary nurse at my vets said they might be able to go at 6 weeks if I didn't want to pay for the first injections!!! I hope that people who have Mia puppies will keep me up to date with photos and progress, and it would be fanastic if I could rehome some locally so I could bump into them!!!!!

I began nesting for her yesterday LOL, my boys went to see there Nannie, so I have mowed both lawns painted the fence done all the weeding and tidyed the house!!!!! Very nervous and excited. her temperature has raised slightly this morning so when she wakes up from her dose i will take it again, and then again this evening.... Well if anything changes (other than her waistline) will let you know!!! bless her zzzzzzing away on this one!!!

I know its hard isn't it :0( they have such big personalities they leave a huge hole when they go. I am in Staffordshire. Where about are you?... let me have your email address and will give you bit more info on the pups... and parents!
I think I am more nervous than when I had my own boys!!!! I have certainly done more nesting LOL Well due tomorrow and no temperature drop yet I have got laminate thankfully so no need to worry about my pacing wearing the carpet out!!!! ;0)
