ABS and electrical fault
Messages 1 to 3 of 3.
I have also for the last year had a problem with the battery draining which has got progressively worse. In fact it had got to the stage where unless I drive the car virtually every day the battery goes flat.If I left the car for more than say 3-4 days max it would go flat.I couldn't afford to get it sorted at the moment so just bought a jumpstart unit and tried to make sure I drove it every day. I recently went away on business and on returning after 3 weeks found to my surprise the car started first time. The problem is the abs light has now come back on.Since the light has come on the battery drain problem has disappeared. This seems too much of a coincidence to me and I'm suspecting that perhaps when the last work was done some sort of fault occurred with the electrics in the abs. Am I right in saying this is possible.I know little about cars and want to get my facts straight before going back to the dealer. Is the abs pump an electrical pump or is their any associated electrics which could cause such a fault ?

Have the ecu read for faults or get a second hand replacement & see how it goes.
