Listen here, Kelly is my sister...she treats Smudge with all the love and care that she needs. Whilst Smudge was awaiting to be neutred, she got out and got caught pregnant again!!!! She was originally asking for somebody to home Smudge and look after her till the kittens were born,AND have her returned, and she was given an alternative--because Smudge could die...so what let her die for the sake of kittens that arent developed yet?? And for your information she is NOT due any day at all. Shes got her advice and help, she needs no more THANX!!!

grrr i hate seeing threads turn out like this it isnt what the forums are for!!!!!!!!! why are you being so aggressive? thiis is a forum dee has every right to reply and im not being funny ..im not judging or anything because i dont know your sister BUT 1year is to young to have kittens and you say this will be her second litter... one may have been a total accident but this second one could have been prevented after the first litter your sister could have been more careful. no-one is saying your sister is cruel wendy was trying to find the help your sister was looking for. she only sent out a similar thread your sister did so why have a go at her?

no,ppl were judging her calling her cruel--she put the ad on in the best interest for the cat...shes a single mum with a boistorous lil girl,so she wanted the best 4 smudge.she did accidently get caught the 1st time, and the 2nd time we made an appointment at the pdsa and because we had to wait three weeks smudge got out thru a window and she has ended up pregnant again...ppl would call her irresponsible if she repeatedly let smudge have kittens...do u not think there are enough kittens and cats in rescue centres needing homes??she was asking for help and advice and was willing to allow smudge to go to a good place to be cared for whilst she had the kittens.smudge was a rescue centre cat which was kindly adopted and she seems a lil wild, last time on her last litter she was becoming TOO protective and a bit nasty with the kittens.after asking for help, kelly was advised that smudge could be in danger having another litter.the lady thats helping kelly is a professional and knows exactly what shes talking about.smudge is loved and cared for in the best way possible, so yes i am getting annoyed because my sister is getting nasty things said and she is only looking for the best interest and care for her cat...so maybe people need to know full facts before they comment with sarcastic, snotty or nasty comments.at the end of the day, smudge is not far gone and to allow her to continue the pregnancy could harm her and the kittens...so whats the best option??let smudge die and the kittens struggle?as for ur comment about her 2nd pregnancy could u not politely ask how or why she is pregnant again instead of grounding your foot in and making a funny comment...these forums are for help or advice, not nastiness or sarcasm, and while my sister is being slated i will comment in a way i want...shes being a responsible owner not a cruel person

on this thread?? i havent seen any nasty comments just people trying to help but obviously i dont know the full story so i wont say anything on that. hey i have no doubt she wants the best for her cat..we all want the best for our pets so its understandable just personally i would have took extra care the second time as the cat is very young but i understand cats will stray. well i didnt even know you wernt going to continue the pregnancy so dont know why your getting so defensive about that with me!! i would PROBABLY do the same considering she isnt far along because i love my animals. however i wouldnt let it happen. i am VERY precautious with my pets some people say too protective because yes i do worry and no i wouldnt have let it happen. now yes i would rather some unborn kittens die than a very much loved pet but i would actually prefer none to die. has your sister spoken to the vet? or just people online? just wandering!erm re-read my comment ..i did not ground my feet in the floor with nasty and sarcastic comments i was very straight forward and honest and dont find any part of my comment nasty. yes this forum is for help and advise. ive been here a long time now so i do know that from where im sitting it is you dishing out all the nasty comments... dee said nothing wrong to you and you just lash out at her well do you really wander why people are giving you nasty comments. from where im sitting your sister sounds like a nice lady whos cats has got out a 'couple' of times and she has found herself in a sticky situation trying to do her best. you on the other hand seem very rude and aggressive. im sorry if you dont like that comment but i didnt like opening this thread to read the nastiness anyways i have said my piece so good bye

if yav only seen this thread it will look like only me is bein nasty but theres another!! a lady on ere who was an animal welfare officer answered the other thread, shes dealing with it all,so hopefully smudge should be sorted and okay soon, and we wont have this situation again!!! im not a nasty person, my sisters just been really upset by comments made...if she had opened the door and allowed smudge out to get pregnant again i would totally understand people, but she hadnt she had escaped out of a tiny window!! (cats for ya eh) just want people on her to understand about the situation as my sis got quite upset about people judging the situation, and when your coming on expecting people to help but they are just being nasty etc then its not fair really?! she adores smudge and thats why we have worked with people offering their support, which we greatly appreciate....i understand people have opinions as i would also, but i wold get the story first (not referring to you by the way) anyway smudge is going to be fine and we have the help kel needed! :D

well to be honest im not 100% sure coz i was only about 7 at the time but i just remember her being off her food and constantly walking around the house meowing like she was looking for them. she did the same when she has 7 kittens but one was born dead and she searched for it over and over after we took it away

My cat escaped out of the smallest window ever seen!! It was the week before she was due to be spayed. When theey did the op they said she was pregnant but id already told the vet that she probably was. thay took everything away and to be honest i felt guilty for ages about it. With 2 kids and work etc i felt that i couldnt cope witha anything else. my cat didnt seem to be bothered at the time but now has a fetish for my little ponys and will talk to them and carry them round, she also cleans them!! good luck to your sister it must be hard coping on a low income. And i have been through the escape issue and understand how sneaky they are to get out when they want to. lol

sorry to butt in, im in the same sort of situation at the moment, i got my cat jess at 8 months old, the people i got her from told me she had been spayed at 6months, i just assumed that the fur grew bk etc, but 5 weeks ago she started swelling, and we now have 3 more kittens. jess(cat) has only just gone 1 but if id have knon she hadnt been spayed i wouldnt have allowed her to go out :o( im a single mum of 3 and its hard but i got in touch with cats protection and they are fab, they are going to get jess spayed and will help with litter training and everything too. then they ill help to re-home them to the best possible place. theres never any need for nasty words and personnaly i think what your sister has done/doing is in the best interest for her cat :o) good luck, i hope everything works out for u all :o)

She's absolutely doing the right thing by her cat. Furthermore for those people on here that tried to make this lady feel guilty about the course of action she has taken by suggesting her cat will 'grieve' for the loss of her unborn kittens, what a load of rubbish??!!!I think they're confusing a cats emotions with that of a human. Cats don't grieve over the loss of their kittens for very long, their basic instinct is all geared up to self survival as would be if they were living in the wild. They'd have your cat booked in to see a phsychiatrist next!!
