can someone tell me why my stereo is bleeping when i turn it on, i can use the radio and cd player but there is a bleeping noise with it. i have disconnected the battery that didn't help, i have checked the fuse that hasn't helped. it is a 2002 406.

the reason for the bleeping is that the vehicle id number in the radio does not match the vehicle id number in the bsi unit.this could be due to a change of radio or bsi unit.the radio will need to be recoded by you peugeot dealer or someone with the correct diagnostic equipment.

i have had this car since 2003 and it has always worked fine. cant understand why.
