MONZA 1980/81 DOES THIS VAN HAVE A HITCH LOCKING MECHANISM SO I CAN REVERSE WITHOUT PUTTING THE BRAKES ON OR IS IT AUTOMATICE, IF NOT AUTO, HOW DO I LOCK IT

On old vans u used to push a retaining bar through the hitch tube to stop it coming back & engaging the brakes, on mine it was a flat bar with a spring, mounted on top of the hitch tube about a foot back from the back of the hitch head.
