i was travelling around 75mph tonight, with headlights radio etc on and when i glanced down the speedo,rev counter, fuel gauge and oil temp gauge had all stopped working . i stopped the car after 5 minutes and tried restarting several times, i dont know anything electrical wise and would appreciate if anyone had a fair idea of what could be wrong, its a y reg model , the car drives fine apart from this . thanks in advance graeme

If it was my car I would check for a blown fuse first of all.
I seem to remember the fuse box being on the passenger side in these models.
Try checking fuse 2 for starters if it's ok just go through the rest of them.

Hi, i am having trouble locating a wiring diagram for this version of the clio, and all books i have found say they only cover the N/A version. i am having trouble with the electrics , and keep blowing the same fuse, which displays all start up info and rev counter ,speedo,water/oil temp gauge, and fuel gauge. im at my wits end and would like to be able to try and pin point the problem (with the aid of the wirring diagram) so that if the garage need to fix it they wont charge me a fortune "finding" it. the car has done 160000 miles and could easily do the same again, but without this wiring problme fixed it may be going no where fast. i would appreciate a reply asap as i would like to start my search tomorrow morning if possible, or information where i could print off the wiring diagrams of the car. thank you in advance. graeme

Graeme I may or may not have something that might help you wiring diagram wise, my email is in my bio if you click on it and leave me your email address and will email you what I have.
My renault data stops a bit before 2001 but the autodata seems to show that after march 2001 the wiring on the instrument cluster is different.
Of course I can email you both if you like.

hi
i suspect you have a faul with one of these components.
in my experience i would disconnect each inturn and then try a new fuse
and see if same problem hapens
items im thinking about are
the tank sender unit
the engine temp sensor
