we have just finished watching the moto gp race from usa, Valentino Rossi was amazing!! of course :-) he won by about 15 seconds. i've followed his career since he was in 125's and the kid is just incredible, every time someone tries to write him off he comes back to prove he is the greatest moto gp rider ever! (this is where my hubby and i argue, he gets annoyed and start listing the racers who he says would have wiped the floor with Vale! ) anyone else a fan of moto gp or superbikes etc? or is it just me who is sad enough to sit here every week cheering on people i am never going to meet and yelling at the screen when things dont go well ? :-)

tell me about it! the kid is awesome :-) i've been a fan of his since the beginning. i love it when he has to fight to get to the front like last weekend, fair enough casey is good, but 8 world titles says vale is better! i like little loris capirossi too, my hubby thinks that lorenzo is a future champion, i guess when a rider is so determined to race that he has to be carried onto and off of his bike then there is definitely some potential there! do you watch superbikes too? what do you think to baylis retiring?

i thought you were older! 13 is the perfect age to get into the bike scene. can you ride or are you just a fan? i'm alot older than you are and i have a son your age who is a bike nut! he has been riding pillion since he could hold on and goes on runs with his dad sometimes.

its not quite as easy as that but i get what you mean :-) nothing wrong with 125's all the greatest riders started off on little bikes, its a good way to learn! but if you are serious, you will have to get a move on, best to start whilst young!

hi ozz, do you have any carting centers near you? or do you think think there are any motorcross clubs in your area? try yellow pages or yell.com, put in which city you live in and also what you are looking for which would be motorcross or motorbike road race training, try as many variations of those as possible and any that sound like they may be what you need, ring or get your dad to ring. its quite an expensive hobby though and if you do get good it can still take a huge slice of luck to get you noticed. i really hope you can find somewhere nearby to at least have a go.
