Hi

I need some advice i have Ladies Raleigh Zest bike, frame and paintwork is in brilliant condition, however, I have not used it for a few years definately needs new tyres. I think new gears/brakes. Anyone out there know whether it would be cheaper to overhaul it or start from scratch and buy a new bike.

Very grateful for some advice

Angie

Lots of places do adult bikes quite cheaply now, Even my catalogue sells them for less than £80, but these are a cheaper model than a raleigh. Have a look on ebay or in you local bike shop and price up what you will need to buy. Raleigh bikes are usually quite expensive. Have you checked on here and ebay for a bike in your area used but in great condition??? They go in my area for around £20-£40 ish. that might work out cheaper for you you could always sell yours as a project. janine

Thanks Janine for your message just trying to justify a trip to a bike shop or buy new/used. Like to recycle the bicycle! but you are right, may be time to move on I am sure it would be cheaper to shop around. Thanks again Angie
