Hi
I have Vauxhall Astra, auto gear, X reg. It was running well, untill last couple of months, engine keeps stalling when i am slowing down or stop at the light. Took it to the independent garage, guy diagnosed the engine, and told me to change two CAT sensors. Spend about £250 and changed both sensors, still engine keeps stalling. Can anyone help please

take it back as he hasnt fixed it.

One of the normal things on this engine is the idle control valve starts to get sticky. As the engine comes back to idle the valve doesn't operate quickly enough and the engine stalls. Also you get a bouncing idle when it doesn't stall.

Thanks, I hope dats the case. I contacted the engineer, he told me to drive for some time before the car computer can get used to.

I contacted the guy who fixed it, told me that he will have delete and reset the car computer. I cant take the car immediately coz he is away for 3 days. Can the problem be solved this way if u know pls?
