HI got a rover 400 but fob not working , quoted £130 for new fob and reprogramming. tried to obtain emergency unlock code but cannot find anyone who can supply this ( no dealerships ) .so can any one tell me where to get this 4 digit code in Birmingham ?? many thanks

Have had my rover 400 for 9 years.In the last 2 months have had problem with key fob twice. In summer always lock car with key because sun seems to activate inside sensors. Always unlock car with key fob. Twice after unlocking with key fob car will not start, think immobiliser is still energised. Have had to lock car with this key fob then unlock car again with spare key fob before car will start. Never thought of key in lock sequence. According to manual the battery in the key fob only needs changing when the repeater indicators flash fast when unlocking car so have not changed batteries

i got second hand fob reprogrammed and eka code from mobile auto eletriction,,, full total cost £55........ was good for me !!!
