Indicators not working properly

My car goes in for it's MOT tomorrow and whilst checking the lights i've found that when i turn on the indicators they all go on (as though the hazard lights are on) whether i go left or right.
Is this a wiring fault or a relay fault??
HELP!!

Hi, at least give us the basics, what make and model is the car???

Fair point, i rushed the question and forgot the details.
The car is an 'M' reg 306 XR.
However i've just picked it up from the garage and there is more than just the indicators that are a problem, so i've got to decide whether to repair it or sell it as spares/repair.
