I can only get hot air through my vents on a p reg Rover 414. Can anybody help as it is killing me in this hot weather not being able to get cold air, recently had a new water pump fitted and new head.

Not sure what model and engine type you have but I 'll take a stab that it might be a K series with you mentioning the head.
A lot of the rovers have a water valve that controls the flow to the heater matrix, this may be stuck open allowing hot water to circulate through the heater matrix.

The heater valve is fitted to the bulkhead at the back of the engine. Two black heater hoses & a cable are attached. Get a pair of pliers on the tab where the cable is attached & pull/push it to its opposite position so as to shut the tap.
