Okay just comparing two cars. My mate reckons his 1.8 tdci focus is faster than a Ford Puma 1.7 vct. Is this correct?

Here are the performance stats for both cars.

Ford Focus 1.8 tdci

115bhp
0-60 - 10.6sec
Torque - 184 lbs/ft

Ford Puma 1.7 VCT

125bhp
0-60 - 8.8sec
Torque - 116 lbs/ft

Which one would win in terms of round a track/drag race...Okay the focus has loads more torque but does that make a difference as the Puma is quicker to 60mph.

Thanks.

answered other post on the track those focus can shift plenty of grunt and the extra weight of engine aids in those bends the puma more likley to suffer understeer where as the focus oversteer knowing how to use that can make a great advantage. but the puma would make it to the corner first but one tight turn and that focus will be their looking for you to run wide. eventually the puma would run out of petrol and the focus their for would win pmsl

Puma would win. If you put 4 ppl in each car the focus would win.
