I have read a similar forum on alarm problems with this vehicle (It's a GLX Turbo estate) with no resolution of my slightly different problem. I have had this problem for a long time. I think it gets worse when it's wet. As we have had a lot of rain, and its raining now! I have no hope of using the car as I can't switch off the alarm's engine immobiliser with the key fob plip. Everything seems to work otherwise.

The manual's reference to a switch to disable the alarm system under the bonnet is wrong there is no switch (by the nearside headlamp or the offside either) or near the battery (mentioned in the forum) I think that what is happening is that the gutter drains get blocked periodically and water seaps into the sensor unit in the roof.

What I would like to be able to do is just disable the complete system including central locking if necessary. When in the past I have parked the car overnight I have not used the plip to set the alarm but on returning the next day have found it has set itself. My neighbour's car is not a Peugeot but I suspect that her plip is setting my alarm system on. Sometimes I find that the car is unlocked in the morning and it has shut me out once with the engine running.

Does anyone know how to shut this alarm system off completely?
