Hi Trigger, when you say 'camper van' is it a van conversion or coach built? Where are you located, as I may be able to help with your fridge. Is the fridge 3 way or 2? (gas/240v/12v or gas/12v). Remember fridges only work on level ground.
The sink only drains into the tank; no seperate take off. The drain tap is normally just under the body - so making it easy to get to. Try looking under the rear of the van & under the sides; your looking for a black (this is the normal colour) tank with drain tap - which will be visable from side/rear. On some coach builts the tank can be in the centre of the chassis, with pipe to outer edge of body. & if your realy up market it could be electrically operated.

What's the conversion of the vehicle? I have a number or original manuals for an 85 autohomes camelot (T/E base vehicle) and ancillery equipment (it's a hi-top panel van conversion).
On mine, waste water tank is at the back of the van with a drain tap extending just below the rear doors.
Fridge on mine runs into a 240V socket in one of teh cupboards. If it's similar, could be a simple as a blown fuse (or even not switched-on).

What type of fridge is it - if its a 3 way does in work on any power source i.e Gas, 240 or 12v (only when engine is running). You need to be fairly level for it to work and it will take about 30mins to start to get cold in the ice box.

I have fixed fridges in a few vans so may be able to help
