Iv just started riding a 15.2hh Tbh Mare and im looking to get her a jumping saddle...

Iv found one which looks good its a medium and measures 6" D ring - D ring....Do you think it will fit ok? as its off the interent i cant try before i buy! Lol

Yes i know, but if someone who has had a thoroughbred around that size could tell me what they roughly think, it doesnt matter if its abit off as i can take it 2 the saddle shop and get it re-fitted! But i obv dont want 2 order it if its going to bee too small or anything. I kno i cant ever be sure im not stupid i have had ponies since i was 7yrs old.

Just to let you know that It its irrelevant (sp?) how big/small the measurement between the D's are. ?

Im not trying to interfere but I just put my saddle up for sale and got told the same thing by an experienced and qualified saddle fitter.

(blushes) .. Lol

I have a saddle though .. wana buy it ? haha

is it poss for you 2 try sum 1 elses saddle so that u then no deff what size u need?

Oh rite well whenever i look at some 4sale it always has the measurements! LOL

No0o afraid not =[.... As its a farm with alot of youngsters the and the only other horses that are ridden are big Belgium horse which gets used 4 pulling carts at weddings too so shes stocking and 2 big 17hh mares so cant really judge it from them...I know she needs a 17' saddle and that but i just dont wana buy the medium if its not going 2 sit wide enough around her shoulders and that...i hate buying saddles! lol
