I have a V reg Synergie SX with climate control. However, the temperature control seems to be stuck on min 14 C meaning that the only the air con comes on and I can't get any heat even if set to a higher temperature. As winter is looming, I want to fix it. Any ideas. All the lights and buttons on it respond but even when you set to 28 degrees, its still blowing cold air. Help!!

This is usually a valeo or behr climate control system and they are both prone to the micro motors/flap motors packing in on them.
Basicly so that it can regulate everything the hot/cold, up/down, fresh air/recycle flaps are moved by electric motors instead of cables like on a basic system, however in my experience these motors pack in and obviously whatever position the flap was last at when the motor packed in is where it will stay.
Normally there is a bit of time involved in doing them. at least on the citroen xm and pug 605 that I done it took a bit of time.

Are you talking about no air being blown through the vents or plenty air but no heat ?

This sounds like the hot/cold air blend flap has stopped working due to the reduction motor packing in.

I had major electrical surgery, loom melt out, but heat was just a clutch in switch lex swapped directional for temp and we now have heat, we still have directional too cause he overhauled the switch, a gear had dropped due to vibration, it cost 3 mortgage payments to sort but it chilly now and god it's nice to get into car again, major fault was on relay for gloplug timer, stayed on and flatteed battery, then wouldn't come on at all, so no ignition no use. thanks for help though.

Jeez.... and I thought the problem I mentioned was bad you really had it go to town on you !
Sometimes I feel these climate controls systems are more bother than they are worth.
At least you are good to go now though.
