fiat punto 1.1 alarm reset

my friend gave me 1.1 fiat punto P reg now this car has been off road for some years. got a new battery for it, just trying to find out if the engine turns, the alarm kicks in and no power to the start motor, thecar wont start the key code appears on the dash on the left side. sort of asking for access code i only have a key for the car thats it. so how do i reset that or just bypass that? please help
