Hi,I have a problem with the electrics on my 01 Berlingo 600 1.9D van. It has no impact on the engine ie starts & runs perfectly. Basically when the ignition is turned off all power is lost to the dashboard & services. This means 1:the clock on the dash always reverts back to 00.00 but the trip counter and total mileage keep their totals.
2:The radio loses all stations (has to be retuned every trip)
3:The courtesy lights dont work unless the ignition is on.
4:Hazard lights only work when the engine is running.
5:I dont know if this has anything to do with it but the remote locking fob doesnt work even with new batteries but with the engine running if the locking knob on one of the doors are locked or unlocked all doors do the same & the indicator lights outside flash rapidly like they probably should when a remote fob is used.
6:Lately the oil level indicator has started to beep to warn of a low oil level on startup even though there is the correct amount of oil in the sump.
All these are minor problems but if anyone can shed some light on where to start I would appreciate it.

they have a shunt fuse in the fuse box that has two positions. one is shipping mode that powers down every thing when the ignition is off and costomer mode. look in the fuse box for a gray and green fuse and make sure its pushed all the way in. (orange circle in picture).

Hi, thanks for replying, I just had a look at the fuse board under the steering wheel & the board in the engine bay but cant find any fuse that matches the description. I have gone through the fuse diagram in the owners manual & cant find anything there either. One thing I have noticed is that the picture doesn't look like any of the fuse boards I have. Thanks

the picture was just to show you what the shunt fuse looked like. if you can't find the shunt you have probably found the problem. it should be in the fuse box inside the car. if the shunt is not there nothing will be powerd up when the ignition is off.

Hi,
Sorry about the delay but I finally had a chance to look at the fuses in daylight with the manual at hand. As far as I can tell all the shunt fuses are where they are supposed to be & I pushed them all in just to be sure. I think its time to let the main dealer check it out :(.
Thanks for the suggestions anyway.
