Hi All
In my computer I have 1024 DDR memory over two cards (512 per card), only two slots in machine.
Now all is working fine but was going to put more memory in like 2 x 1024 cards or should I bit the bullet and do 2 x 2048 DDR?
Memory is so cheap now what do you all think?
The computer is a Time Platina machine, about 4 years old running XP home.
Hope I got my figers correct.

Hi Caretaker
Thats fine as long as you check your pc documentation to see if it supports 2gb or more of memory.
Regards

Down loaded Crucial, ordered memory, two days and received and put in 2gb.
It's so fast it hardly waits for me to double click the icon.
More than pleased with your suggestions.

Re your purchase of new monitor
Does it have digital connection? if so use this.
If you have old monitor spare ? LCD ? It is possible,to run 2 monitor's on one computer,as I am doing, one as digital connection, one as analog VGA.
If you need to upgrade your graphics card and can do so,go for PCI-E (PCI-EXPRESS). I saw a couple in PC World for about £250,called into local computer shop and was politely told, that for general use,non gaming applications, have a nice Asus (NVidia) for 30 pounds odd.It all works a treat

I would say dont put more than 3GB in your machine, it wont use anything above this anyway. Also you might start getting probs / blue screens etc if you install 4GB
