Hello everyone, i am looking for either a whole new twin webber carb or just the auto choke bit of it. Its all thats holding me back from a MOT as i have entered into a car show in may and really need to get her on the road. some clown has had the choke off before me and hasn't put it back together properly leaving out vital components so now it just stays open and won't close. its killing me im so close to being able to drive around my lovely modern classic but yet so far as without this part im screwed ha ha ha.

cheers

no what i meant was that you could put in a more detailed search, and then you might find what youre looking for,
or you could contact the online breaker search engines, or contact "weber" for a service kit, or even see if you can get one on ebay

hello all,
just an update and a few questions, my carb and choke are all now sorted and she is running like a dream. the only thing now is the rev counter, its not working at all and i have been through the haynes manual about a squillion times trying to find something out about it but nothing does anyone know. im pretty sure it goes into the crank case but if anyone can help me out here it would be much appreciatted.

cheers

Hi. Have a look on Buysellcortina - think there is a thread on rev counters on there. If not someone will definitely know. Well done on sorting out you carb. I didn't even attempt mending my vv unit - bought a replacement weber equivalent and like you mines running well too.
