well today is D day for my beloved, i the battery has been on charge or 24hours and she is going on her maiden voyage. up to now i have tightened the tappets, completly overhauled the carb and choke, put some original ghia alloys with brand new rubber, filled and welded some majour holes in the bulkhead and finally gave her a wash and wax. I happen to know the brakes need some slight attention but that can wait for the weekend.

wish me luck!!!!!

Not any help But have to say the ghia wheels make a big difference to the look of the car and the picture certainly does it justice.
Have to admit rust issues aside I thought these were great cars and comfy for the long journeys !
Only car I know you could do a heater matrix in 5 minutes and with just a couple of screwdrivers !

I agree with the whole ghia wheels look better!!!! it took me a good few hours per wheel in the garage cleaning them up but i think it was worth it for the over all look of the car.

Cheers
