RYA Theory Examination

The practical shouldn't be a problem, as there are plenty of residential courses that will do the course in about a week. However, I don't fancy spending a week of my holiday in a classroom, doing the theory part of the exam. Any alternatives? The evening classes in my area always seem to be completely booked up. I saw a correspondance course but that seemed to be fantastically expensive. Any recommendations? I live in the south of England.

I can recommend Sail UK in Poole. They do theory courses over three weekends, so it's not a long drawn out affair like most evening classes, but it also doesn't mean you have to take any holiday to do it. Nice people, nice atmosphere. I just came back from there, having spent 5 days doing my Day Skipper practical. Went from Poole down to Dartmouth and back.
