Hi mbizzle
The warning light is for the oil level and should go out in 3-5 seconds.Have you checked your oil level,if the light stays on it means it's low. Does the engine turn over or have you siezed it by running with no oil.

have ruled out the oil being low, have changed the glow plugs, now i have checked the glow plug relay and power goes into it from the battery but none comes out, do you think the relay could be faulty? therefore not sending any current to the glow plugs?
