Hi I,m new to camping and need HELP on how best to put the awning onto a Commanche montanna do I zip the awning on 1st then go inside and build the frame or build the frame and zip the awning over it thanks=CONFUSED

From what little experience I have, I think you need to slot the awning on to the caravan first before you put the poles on.

does the awning have built in pieces for the awning to attach to as mine does.
what i do is lay the roof poles out on the ground few feet beside the van, with the legs off , then pull the awning round and drape over the roof poles,,, attach the roof poles to eyes on the awning at the van side then put in the legs at half heiht and lift the whole thing up at both outer corners with some help and extend the legs.

not sure if this is proper but it works well for me.

ALSO,, if not done already, mark all the poles at the joints so you know where they all go together,. ie A TO A ,,,B TO B,, ETC.
i have a strip of different coloured tape on certain poles so i know that they are legs and roof poles etc also
