Does anyone know why when i lock my car (mondeo lx tdci 02)via my key fob the indicator lights don't flash. Any ideas?

hi, have they never flashed when setting the alarm, or is it something they have stopped doing, my mk2 mondy doesnt flash if i just press once to lock the doors, but if i then press again, it sets the alarm and flashes a couple of times,

They have never flashed when locking the doors and setting the alarm. But if i set the alarm off then they do flash.

oh, in that case why not contact another mondeo user on here, with a (51) reg mondeo, with rear seat belt problems, and just ask him about setting his alarm,
or if your not happy with that, pop into your ford dealer and ask, dont let them book the car in, you just want advice,

how long have you owned the car

but im sure someone on here will jump in and help

hi. you ned to press the lock button on your key fob twice for the lights to flash. first time locks the car, second time activates the alarm and the immobiliser. try that and see if that works. mine used to do this no problem at all until i had to have my engine replaced. now they dont flash at all, so if anyone has any ideas on that one, let me know
