Experiencing an intermittent fault on a Citroen Relay Van - anyone had this or any idea what it is. Van has been checked and Citroen advise that they can't find anything wrong with it.

Driver said it was pulling to the left but VERY light going round right hand bends - intermittently. There also appears to have been some knocking noises but they have disappeared. We have had almost everything replaced on this van - been on the road since 01/07/08 - new clutch, new this, new that and two weeks ago a new ENGINE!!!

Hi dee

first thing, is there oil in the resevoir ? is the belt tight ?

If yes.... change oil and fillter in resevoir, if no better.

change hydraulic pump. the last thing is steering rack.

hope this helps

ok, is it hydraulic steering or epas? hydraulic steering would make the car pull to the left if the valve in the rack was faulty, however, this you would feel as it would become easier to turn left, another fault could be steering geometry. if its epas ,it could be the electronic valve on the column, very popular with mg and corsa.

It seems that, after not having been able to find anything, the garage have now advised that it's the nearside CV joint!
I was just on here looking to see if there was a known problem but seems like we've got to the bottom of it. Thanks to all!
