I'll start with WHY? That has got to be one of the most idiotic crosses I've heard of. And as for your reasons for 'breeding', Oh my god how selfish are you. It's not for the dog on any level it's purely for you! If she was humping SPAY HER *!#%!@! And the 'I want her to have just one litter' comment, WHY? What goods that going to do? You do realise it could pottentially cause more harm than good and you could lose your dog. As for 'I think she'd make a good mum', please! They're not people. They don't get broody for babies. Look for the perfect partner and want to settle down. They're animals they want to mate to keep the species going. They don't know how many dogs are out there and in most cases don't have a choice in the mating. Pure greed and selfishness on the owners part!
The puppies are beauitful you must be so proud of her bless you amber! Did you mate her with a staffordshire bull terrier? what colour was he? Were the pups colours 3 white,2 brindleand 2blue and white. Thats really nice that the owners take time to still keep you updated with how there getting on. Amber looks huge at 6 weeks. Could i ask a question was there anything special you gave Amber while she was pregnant?

I am not a selfish person at all as anyone who knows me knows that so i dont what makes you think you have the right to call me that! I herd of worst crosses and it cant that bad other wise people wouldnt be itrested in having one of the puppies We always said we would let rio have a litter so she could experince being a mother herself and why shouldnt she. Since rio being mated with rug she has stoped the mounting thing so doesnt that say somthing. yes i realise rio or the puppies could get hurt and thats why ive been trying to get as much imformation as possible so i know what to do if that was to happen. I think rio would be a good mother to her puppies i treat rio as part of the family as thats what i was always told to do. And rio is a really big part of our family. As for rescue centers do you know how hard it is for people to rehome a rescue dog theres so many rules. And im not being funny i dont see where people like you get off trying to make other people feel bad for nothing. i came on here to get some advice bout pregnant dogs not to have people having ago at me!!!!
so about this comment "I'll start with WHY? That has got to be one of the most idiotic crosses I've heard of." now a bit about my self i have been in the world of animals for longer than i care to think about and have been a breeder of most things kept by ppl mostly reptiles i have also study the history and gentic make up of my fav types of dog for no other reason than to understand wat a dog requires it is better to no the breed and all its relation, my fav dogs being the "bulldog" now i have two fav types and most of my focus was on these to breeds one is the american bulldog and mainly the johnston line i love these dog they are a farming dog and never been used to fighting or any of that crap, secound fav breed is the English bulldog (not the british bulldog ) this two was a sturdy athletic built dog used for farming. ok with out going to much into it there are many dogs that go in to create one breed lets face it a new breed can be created by producing 6 generations of the same dog so not hard the english bulldog is a very rear dog as it was made into the small british bulldog so to recreate a breed like the english bulldog you have to breed out and in the founders of that breed and one of these is the staffishire bull terrier and when breed with a british bulldog creates an old tyme bulldogge which rio is, now rug is from a line breed by IC bulldogs and is a by product of the process of recreating the english bulldog by breeding a british to an american you get a simlair size dog to the old english which is around 23" at the shoulder (rugs hight) any way by breeding these to dog to gether it isnt a bad mix at all it is a very much sortafter mix for the above process and many of the pups have been ordered for this purpose as all three mixes are founder parts of nearly all the bulldog types hope this will help if you have any more questions before comfronting a person like cllmmllm email me direct or give me a call i got noprobs educating ppl who think they can go on a forum and abuse ppl into thinking they done a wrong thing your probley the coures of more homeless dogs by making the owner feel like they done a really bad thing beside most pure line dogs have health problem hip problem etc both these dogs can run rings around most pure breed staff and british bull dogs and out do either class with looks im quite excited about picking a puppyto join rug and sugar (my female american bull from johnston line) and also to see rugs pups enter the breeding program that created such a loving dog shane
I was very proud of her she made a fantastic mum. There was 2 pure white females, 1 pure white male, 1 brindle, 1 black, 1 blue and 2 were blue and white but unfortunately we lost one of the blue and whites during birth. She was mated with another staffy. I didn't really give Amber anything special during her pregnancy just increased her food a bit which she loved lol
Amber was huge towards the end bless her, she didn't want to go anywhere unless she had to lol
You know as well as i do id never put Rio and her puppies in any danger at all and would do my up most to prevent it happing. me and lee are both excited to see how the puppies turn out and who they will take after, ones thing for sure they will be as good with children, other dogs and very well behave just like their mum and dad. thanks again shane
i think Rio will be a good mum too. She had such lovely colours in her litter, what colour was dad? I cant wait to see what colour Rio's puppies will be as her dad was a red and white and her mum black and white, rugs like a tan and white reserve brindle,i will try again to put pictures on i dont know why it wont let me. Was amber ok when her last pup went to its new home? Rug's owner's are having one of the pups, so Rio will be able to see it all the time as they only live round the corner from me. Since Rio was mated she went off her food for a bit it got to 4 days and she still hadn't eaten so i brought some puppy meat and mixed it in with her biscuits and she ate the lot so now i have to put it in every meal time otherwise she wont eat (she's not silly is she) did Amber go off her food at all or did she act a little different for a bit? Rio also just sat on my stairs facing the wall for 2 days aswell, but she's back to normal self now bless her x Adverts Currently On Preloved - Place an ad here for free
Just out of interest really, if mum has British bulldog in her, do you think she will need a c-section to have her pups? I've heard that all bullies need this to give birth? ___________________ Love me..Love my animals! :-p
my male is a bulldog regaurdless of whether its american or british they all orignate from the same lines and the staff and english bull dog orignate form the same lines for bumping your gums about cross breeding but they are all related and origante from the same anccester and the only thing that really dinfine a cross bred and a pure breed is a bit of paper from a kennal club by breeding all the good and non of the bad is the only way we have got the breeds we have now, were just doing the same so how about you go away do some home work maybe use your computer to look and learn instead of slagging ppl off and may be just maybe you will look out from behind them binkers and see that some things arnt just mindless breedings heres some link to start you off http://www.bulldoginformation.com/american-bulldog.html http://www.bulldoginformation.com/Olde-English-Bulldogge.html http://www.bulldoginformation.com/victorian-bulldog.html http://www.bulldoginformation.com/Dorset-old-tyme-bulldog.html http://www.bulldoginformation.com/english-bulldog.html http://home2.btconnect.com/icbulldogs/ http://www.doggehouse.co.uk/history.htm http://www.bulldogbreeds.com/staffordshirebullterrier.html and there are many many more some ppl dont go into these thing with out doing there homework
it is as i said in above a trade breed into the british bulldog because a larger head on a small body is more favoured where as in the true english bulldog the head wasnt as large but still sturdy and power full to allow more agilaty when takling bore and bulls the head should be the same across and the neck and no larger i belive ___________________ life is to short live it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
Dad was also a brindle and white but his brindle was very ginger unlike Amber who is very dark brindle. Amber was fine when the last puppy went she did look around in their hiding places (under the coffee table, behind the t.v.) for a couple of days. Amber never went off her food, just before she went into labour she had her dinner as usual. Food is what Amber lives for lol It's nice that Rug's owners are having a puppy means you will see it grow up. The black one that Amber had was called Jake and went to live about 20 minutes away, but the lady that has him phones me weekly and sends me regular pictures. I have attached one of Jake so you can see him.
(i dunno, not a breeder or anything, just pondering! lol) ___________________ Love me..Love my animals! :-p
