That could happen, Rio carries a staff head from her mum with the bulldog cheeks,wrinkles and body.
Best thing to do is not to retaliate, if you wish to breed your dog then you have every right to. It annoys me that people like yourself come on here to ask advice and end up getting abused. To me if you are asking for help and advice then surley it makes you a caring owner for trying to do what is best for Rio and her puppies. I have had stick on a couple of occasions but i just ignore it now. Like i said to you before there are many members on here that will always offer you good sound advice and the majority are very friendly and welcoming. You should not have to explain yourself to anyone. I am sure Rio will also make a good mum so enjoy the experience. x
i just forget it there and dont bite back they are lot of people on here that love they dogs to bits and when it comes to help needed we will always help
Am not the biggest fan of crossbreeds personally..but am not pushing that opinion onto anyone, its up to you if you breed and the dad dog is a stunner in appearance. :-) ___________________ Love me..Love my animals! :-p
Me and my partner watched a program a while back now about how pure dogs are bred so much that they have all these problems they showed a british bulldog now and then quite a lot of years before and the head on the dog was like my Rio's but the body was a little taller more like a boxer. it showed the ckc spaniel with its head to small for its brain and a boxer who had fits all the time it was so sad.
i had a look at your whippet pregnant she looked really sweet in the photos laying on her bk and for you take photos when i try Rio thinks its time to lick me to death bless her. hi nobby, hi tracey, i think your right there are some nice decent people on here but there are some people who shouldnt speak unless their spoken to.
cllmmllm suki is a douge de bordeaux x rottie both were kc reg dogs with 5 gens either side looks more ddb though and was toying with using a pure ddb still am dont care what geefaf says heheehe anyway hope you dont think i was being nasty about her with the breeding it was just a strange combination to me thats all but i dont have an issue with you breeding its nothing to do with anyone else what we do with our dogs what so ever even if some think it is psml !!!! good luck with them and PICCYS lots of of the pups please and if you have a pup not homed send it here i love ambs and *!#%!@ too :0)

I have just had my girl scanned to confirm that she was in pup, I thought she was because she had thickened at her waist her vulva had stayed swollen like when in heat, and her back nipples have got swollen. if you decide not to get your girl confirmed by palpitation or an ultrasound at your vets you should be able to hear the pups heart beats from around 6 weeks in Rio's abdomen. If you need to know any more info on how to care for a pregnant dog please feel free to ask us.. Most of us don't bite lol!!!

Thanks for imformation very helpful to me, as you say about her waist thickened, her vulva being swollen and her back nipples swollen Rio's has all of these bless her! She's sleeping alot more than normal and instead of layer on her belly with her back legs sticking out back of her she now sleeps on her side she's being doing this for about 2 weeks now. At 6 weeks i will try to have a listen to her belly (that is if she dont lick me to death lol) Is there any thing special i should be giving Rio? And thanks again laura x
I switch my girls onto puppy food at 5 weeks and also slightly increase the amount of food they have Rosie now is 38 days and she is having to have 3 meals a day as she is struggling to eat a full meal. Also from day 40 Rio will need to be wormed using panacur worming solution. She will need to be wormed every day until 2 days post whelp, and then again when the pups are wormed. Also I get my girls into their whelping boxes at around 5 - 6 weeks so they feel settled and happy. It is also advisable to limit strenous excercise late in pregnancy and any roughousing and boisterous play.. I have attached a photo of Rosie for you!
I have taken lots of notes from what you've said, can i get the panacur wormer from vets? Rio's not eaten alot this morning either which isn't like her specially as there was fresh puupy meat in there with her biscuits. (is that what you ment by puppy food) she normally has dried biscuits but since being with rug (the male dog) she didnt eat for a good few days so i gave her the puppy meat as a bribe to get to eat somthing. I want to be able to do my very best for Rio and her puppies so what ever you may think i need to know throw my way it really helps. im looking into getting a welping box, im just a bit worried of my children going near her (i know as much as we tell them to stay away when our backs are turned they wont be able to help there selfs) so i was thinking of getting a puppy pen aswell one you can use as a room dvided so children cant get to near but Rio cant get a break from pups if she wants, what do you think? rosie's such a stunner bless her! has she had a litter before?
Dee, Thats so unfair of people to do that if you were to mate her then im sure you would be like me trying to find out as much as possible and would do everything to make your dog and puppies were well care for and had everything they needed. How long ago did you post that you were thinking of mating her?
As for how you ended up with ur Xbreed - much like mine! Dont like Xbreeds, especially Spaniel X's..and wot strolls into my house and stays there?!! lol Wouldnt get rid of him though, love him to bits! :-) ___________________ Love me..Love my animals! :-p
